Assistive Technology
Home
The Texas Technology Access Program leads the state's efforts to carry out the federal Assistive Technology Act of 1998, as ammended (P.L. 108-364). The project was created in 1992 as the Texas Assistive Technology Partnership. Our primary focus then and now is to help increase access to assistive technology that gives people with disabilities more control over their immediate environments and enhanced ability to function independently.
We are now developing several new programs to better meet the needs of Texan's with disabilities. These programs include:
- Assistive Technology Device Demonstration
- Short-Term Assistive Technology Device Loan
- Assistive Technology Reutilization (Recycling)
- Assistive Technology Financial Loan
